West Side Saints Neighborhood Watch
Boundaries – 400-500 block W. 7th, Chestnut to Cherry Sts
500- block of W.8th, Walnut to Cherry Sts
The original neighborhood watch met regularly for over a decade and formed to resolve
concerns with University students and to deal with property owners regarding unruly
tenants.
The neighborhood watch reorganized October 27, 2008 to address increasing crime
and vandalism in the 400-550 blocks of W 8th St. The current West Side Saints
Neighborhood Watch has established alliances with Gannon University and Security to
improve relationships with the P.I.K.E. fraternity. In addition the watch works in
partnership with Erie Police Dept., Erie County District Attorney’s Office, local district
justice and Neighborhood Watch Council.
The watch meets annually or as needed. Updates on issues and concerns are posted
daily on West Side Saints Neighborhood Watch – Erie on Facebook.com.
