Annual Report
2010-2011
Purpose: To provide the residents and business of the Robbins Blass Neighborhood
Watch with the opportunity to enhance the safety of the neighborhood through
effective communication, education, and security of its members.

July 12, 2011, August 9, September 13, October 11, November 8, December 13 2011
January 10, 2012, February 14, March 13, April 10, May 8, and June 12, 2012

“A look Back..”
June, 2010, - The Watch was organized. The meeting was called by founder Allison.
Twenty-five residents were in attendance.
July, 2010 – The group was named Robbins Blass Neighborhood Watch in recognition
of the historical name given the to the subdivision.
August 2010 – A slate of officers were elected and the formation of ‘block captains.’
September 2010 – Eight Watch signs were purchased. Residents were requested to
form by-laws for the group. Also, fundraising, and development of a website/Facebook
was discussed.
October 2010 – Watch signs posted. Mission statement presented and approved. By-
laws committee was formed.
November 2010 – A draft of by-laws presented for review. A semi annual report was
presented and an IT committee formed.
December 2010 – Membership approved by-laws. Membership voted and approved
that all current officers remain in place through June 2011. Recruitment continues for
block captains.
January 2011 - Resignation of acting Coordinators and Secretary. Nominating
committee formed to present a slate of officers. Jim will continue as acting Coordinator
through 2011 and Karen will serve as treasurer. With much resolve, it was agreed that
we continue to strive and move forward.
February 2011 – Bank account opened. Spring newsletter is being created.
March 2011- 400 copies of newsletter will be distributed. Publicity, Activities and Block
Captains committees were created. The Watch group will participate in the ‘United
Way Day of Caring’ and it was decided to have a clean-up project.
April 2011 – Watch T-shirts were made available for purchase. Possible plans to hold
a ‘summer picnic.’ An email address has been created for communication www.
robbinsblass.com .
May 2011 – The inaugural spring clean-up was a success. Plans continue for a picnic
and it was suggested that ‘Weather in your Neighborhood’ channel ‘to promote this
event. A date of Sept 14th was approved. Development of a summer newsletter is on-
going.
June 2011 – Celebrated the ‘first anniversary’ of the watch. Letterhead was approved.
Donations for the ‘Weather in your Neighborhood’ picnic are on-going. Other activities
include the distribution of a summer newsletter in July, ‘Night at the Seewolves’, and
“National Night Out’ was approved. Nominating Committee presented slate of officers
for 2011-2012 and was approved.
